Caption: In Silvester, et al. v. Becerra, the U.S. Supreme Court denied certiorari in another Second Amendment case when it declined to hear an appeal of the 9th Circuit’s denial of a challenge to California’s 10-day waiting period for firearm purchasers. Justice Thomas issued a scathing dissent finding that the 9th circuit failed to use the correct standard of review when analyzing a Second Amendment challenge. In general, Justice Thomas expressed his frustration that the Second Amendment was a ‘disfavored right’ in the Supreme Court.
