Caption: “In 1946, Peep farmer Thomas Lee Causpeeps sued the government. He asserted the noise from low-flying planes scared his Peeps so much that they ran into the sides of their coops, killing themselves. While Mr. Causpeeps prevailed, so did the government. New regulations were set as to how low planes could fly, without which the airlines would have had to apply for permits for each property they flew over.”
