Author Allison Leotta has used her 12 years of experience as a federal sex-crimes prosecutor in Washington, D.C., to bring real-world issues into her fiction. Leotta has written five novels chronicling the adventures of her protagonist, prosecutor Anna Curtis. The most recent, The Last Good Girl, takes on the issue of campus sexual assault at a fictional private college in Michigan.

For 12 years, Allison Leotta served as a federal prosecutor in Washington, D.C., where she specialized in sex crimes, domestic violence, and crimes against children. She now writes legal thrillers drawing on her experiences. Leotta’s blog, The Prime-Time Crime Review, has repeatedly been named one of the ABA Journal’s Blawg 100. She is a graduate of Harvard Law School and Michigan State University. She lives outside of D.C. with her husband, Michael Leotta, and their two sons.
