Updated: A 52-year-old San Antonio lawyer and her 53-year-old estranged husband have been found dead in a field near a pickup and a firearm on real estate they owned near Canyon Lake in Cornal County. Both had been shot.

Arden Specia-Spencer and her husband, Mark, had been separated for a year, reports KENS 5-TV. Although authorities have not confirmed a cause of death, they are not looking for any suspects.

The Associated Press reports that Mark Spencer, a real estate broker, had apparently been staying at the couple’s home on the property. Specia-Spencer’s mother called authorities Sunday and reported a suicide.

According to a subsequent news report, Specia-Spencer’s mother witnessed the murder suicide by Spencer and called police, as detailed in another ABAJournal.com post.
