Another creditor has filed suit against Ed McMahon, claiming that the aging entertainer and his wife haven’t repaid a $100,000 loan.

The lawsuit was filed by the Griffin Group, a management company associated with the late entertainer Merv Griffin, in Los Angeles Superior Court earlier this month, reports E! Online. It contends that the couple purchased “goods, wares, merchandise and/or services” worth $100,000 on an open-book account over a four-year period, and seeks repayment of the principal balance, plus interest and attorney fees.

The website provides a link to a copy of the complaint (PDF), which also seeks damages for alleged fraud and negligent misrepresentation, contending that the couple said they had sufficient assets to repay the loan when in fact they didn’t.

As discussed in earlier ABAJournal.com posts, the couple has been in danger of losing their Beverly Hills home to foreclosure, although Donald Trump, at last report, had stepped in and offered to help.

Meanwhile, the 85-year-old, who is best-known for his long-standing role as the late Johnny Carson’s sidekick on the Tonight Show, is now bringing in some bucks via rap commercials he has filmed for FreeCreditReport.com, reports ABC News.

Dressed in a leopard-print tracksuit, he reportedly chants: “When I retired, I was famous/I had money and glory/I bought a house for 6 mil/I thought nothing could touch me/Until my credit went south, and debt started to crunch me/Next thing I know, instead of playing gin rummy, I was scrambling just to make ends meet/It wasn’t funny.”
