PracticePanther and Bill4Time combine to become ASG LegalTech

Practice management software company PracticePanther and billing software company Bill4Time are combining to become ASG LegalTech.
The announcement was made Thursday by Alpine SG, the parent company of ASG LegalTech, which acquired PracticePanther in 2018 and Bill4Time in 2017.
“Law firms are increasingly adopting the use of technology and realizing its positive impact on increased lead generation and streamlined case management and billing,” said Mark Strauch, Chairman of ASG in a statement. “Operating together as ASG LegalTech will enable these teams to maintain the power of both individual brands while sharing resources, talent and best practices to strengthen the collective whole.”
This mashup comes a few months after Clio, another practice management software company, announced its acquisition of Lexicata, a cloud-based client intake and management tool, and expansion into client management with the January launch of Clio Grow.
Soumya Nettimi, previously the CEO of PracticePanther, has been appointed to lead ASG LegalTech. Steve Reardon, the previous CEO of Bill4Time, will stay involved at ASG LegalTech as a board lead.
