Lawyer is charged with raping client
A Pennsylvania defense attorney has been charged with raping a client.
Vincent A. Cirillo Jr., 56, faces charges of sexual assault and rape of an unconscious victim over an incident earlier this month, Philly.com reports.
“My story hasn’t been told yet, and it will come out in due course,” he told the newspaper.
Court documents say the two met at the client’s home in West Norriton on Aug. 3 and had drinks together, CBS Philly reports. The woman says Cirillo put something in her drink and raped her while she was unconscious.
Investigators say they monitored a conversation between the two less than a week later in which Cirillo admitted intercourse with the woman. However, he denied intercourse in a police statement, although admitting sexual contact, the CBS article says.
Cirillo is the son of a deceased Pennsylvania superior court judge with the same name, the articles note.
Cirillo remains in practice in Montgomery County, his lawyer told Philly.com.
