A slump in the energy market hasn’t kept Baker Botts from expanding the attorney roster in its Houston headquarters.

After adding 25 lawyers in 2015, the firm is looking to add 25 more in 2016, the Houston Business Journal reports.

The law firm is expecting an uptick in mergers and acquisitions as energy-related businesses adjust to their reduced valuation under current market conditions, partner Tull Florey said.

“Private company M&A, particularly in oilfield services, is getting more active,” he explained. “What you often initially see in market conditions like this is a disconnect in buyer’s and seller’s price expectations. The longer these difficult market conditions last, the more in line the expectations become, and deals can get done. I think you’ll start seeing more M&A deals done, and we’re having more discussions about it.”
