Attorney General Holder is discharged from hospital
Updated: Attorney General Eric Holder was hospitalized this morning after he experienced faintness and shortness of breath and released this afternoon.
Justice Department spokesman Brian Fallon said in a statement that the 63-year-old Holder was taken to the hospital as a precaution, the Washington Post and NBC News report. He experienced the symptoms this morning during a regular staff meeting.
A 911 call was received by city dispatchers at 9:43 a.m. ET, and Holder was taken to the MedStar Washington Hospital Center by ambulance, NBC reported. Holder was discharged at 1:15 p.m. He is resting at home, the Post reports.
