A Disappointing February for Legal Sector Jobs
The legal sector lost 2,900 jobs in February even as the overall economy added 192,000 jobs.
The Am Law Daily calls the latest statistic “a harsh dose of reality” following adjusted January numbers that show a gain of 500 jobs in the legal sector for January.
The adjusted numbers show a loss of 1,600 jobs in December and 900 jobs in November. February’s legal jobs stood at 1,111,300, a loss of 1,300 jobs compared to the same month last year.
